2011 World Cruise - here We Come!

To all my followers of Same Ship Different Day it's nice to be back! Though I haven't been posting of late, it was not soley because I have been on a long vacation.  In fact, Dana would tell you I have worked harder on this vacation that I ever have at work. First, I have spent my days learning and working to become a better blogger and also working to create a better web site. We have made some changes additions to the site that you will see within this upcoming week. This will be more than just a blog and I think you will enjoy what I have in store for you.

Secondly,  I have spent hours upon hours on a developing something which should prove to be a lot of fun and I certainly hope, very popular.  I'll be telling you more about that in the weeks ahead. So, there is a lot in the works!

Dana and I have been on vacation since October 21st and have enjoyed a truly wonderful vacation and all the special holidays that came along with it! The day after Christmas was the day for many of you to return gifts, but for us it was the day to begin pulling close out of the closet to start to get organized for the around the world cruise that begins January 14th in San Francisco. This will be the eleventh year of world cruises for Regent Seven Seas Cruises and right now it looks like it's going to be the last. We have been most fortunate to have done it every year, which has been a great honor for us. Now, although we have very mixed feelings about the end of Regent's around the world cruising, that it certainly doesn't mean we will no longer be cruising the world, because we will.  In fact, the ship's itinereraries for next year and beyond look simply fabulous, sans circumnavigation!

Updates from the cruise director who is on board the Seven Seas Voyager now, Lorraine are starting to come in and just one week from today we'll be on our way to Acapulco where we will stay for two days and then await the arrival of the Seven seas Voyager. We will be staying at the famous Las Brisas Resort and will definitely be up, coffee in hand, to watch our beautiful lady sail in.

In the meantime, stay close and invite your travel buddies to come on over for a look. I'll be back soon but I just wanted to let you know that we are well and that I haven't forgot about you!

Happy Holidays from Dana, Jamie, Chester, Moose and Maggie!

Practice makes perfect?

Well, here goes. My first attempt to write something and see how it all looks...
